Metalwork master Nana Aziziani lives in Tbilisi, her workshop is located on Vertskhli street, in the old part of the City, where historically there were metalwork workshops. The location of the workshop specifically on the same street is a continuation of a tradition. The master learned metalworking from her father and has been engaged in traditional crafts for 26 years. She owns repoussé and enamel techniques and works on Akhaltsikhe filigree. She is trying to restore and popularize this technique. The master mainly creates copies of museum exhibits as well as jewelry. Nana also has teaching experience and carries out masterclasses mainly in cloisonné enamel. "Since there is less demand for filigree and repousse work, I will always continue working in these technologies, because I want to transfer this knowledge to the next generation that is my wish. That's why I make copies of museum exhibits as well."-said the master.
