Master

A workshop named – “Katamura”, which is located in Tbilisi! Katamura workshop was founded by a Georgian artist’s couple – Tatia Tvaladze and Toma Glurjidze. This is a trademark of handmade small-sized objects and accessories with an overarching theme of the Georgian wildlife; the descriptions of the species of mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and insects. Most of the works are made out of wood. The basic materials are lime and pinewood and copper. Each item is accompanied by a unique label, with a description of the species. „Our goal is the promotion, the research, and the creative interpretation of Georgian fauna. We also attempt to find and develop the new forms in Georgian craftsmanship of souvenirs, adornments, and painting. “- says the masters.
