Return to news
As part of the project "Boosting the Marketing Potential of Wooden Handicraft Products in Guria, Kakheti, and Tianeti," artisans from the Kakheti region held meetings with local business representatives. Negotiations took place with representatives of hotels, restaurants, and other tourism service providers, including:
- Hotel "Savana" – Dedoplistskaro
- "Lost Ridge" – Bodbe
- Showroom "Kera" – Telavi
- "Kebzari" – Telavi
- Winery "Bilu Roo" – Telavi
- Winery "Itabani" – Kvemo Alvani
- "Lagazi Winery" – Zemo Alvani
This was an opportunity for the artisans to expand their sales channels and establish direct connections with hotels, restaurants, and tourism services to help them realise their products. They received feedback from business representatives and learned which types of craft products are in higher demand in the tourism sector. Additionally, they could develop long-term collaborations, creating a stable source of income. Furthermore, these meetings will promote their products.
The initiative is being implemented within the framework of "Support for the Implementation of the Reform of the Forest Sector of Georgia - ECO.Georgia," with the support of the German International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
