EACD 2022

On March 28 and April 3, 2022, Georgia joined for the first time the European Days of Artistic Crafts, where museums, galleries and traditional craft workshops from various regions across the country took part.  Visitors during the week had the opportunity to attend free tours in museum laboratories and exhibition halls. In addition, pre-registration scheduled a visit to different workshops, where they had the opportunity to attend and participate in master classes in various fields of crafts. 7 museums across the country took part, including Kemal Turmanidze Ethnographic Museum "Borjghalo" in the Adjara region, Kutaisi State Historical Museum, Bolnisi Museum and Tatulashvili Ceramic Studio – Museum in Gori. Besides 6 galleries, 14 Art studios and workshops also participated in EACD. Due to the fact that European Days of Artistic Crafts was held for the first time in Georgia, there was a great response from the public. Eventually, about 200 visitors participated in the events during the week. The event aims to develop the industry and raise awareness in Europe, bringing together the community, media, and local leadership. 

In 2022, Georgia joined the international program and the event was coordinated by the Georgian Heritage Crafts Association and Georgian Arts & Culture Center.
