Ermile Maghradze is an outstanding cloisonné enamel researcher and master. Based on historic sources and direct experiments (identification of glaze ingredients, attaching the partitions and firing) he recreated Georgian medieval cloisonné enamel technology. At the same time, Ermile Magradze’s workshop offers study courses to local youth, where they primarily make museum copies, icons, and other religious objects.
SERVICES: Visitors are offered a brief overview of the history of Georgian cloisonné enamel and a master class in cloisonne enamel making.
