European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD) 2025

Return to the festival

From March 31 to April 6, 2025, Georgia will join the European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD) for the fourth time. This year’s theme, “The Golden Thread”, is dedicated to the invisible yet essential connections that bind artisans to their communities and regions. Through their work, craftspeople weave tradition and innovation together, preserving a heritage of craftsmanship that strengthens local economies, reinforces cultural identity, and promotes more conscious and sustainable consumption.

Georgian artisans and cultural sector representatives will take part in the week-long event, during which workshops and masterclasses will be held in Tbilisi and various regions of Georgia.

The event in Georgia is implemented with the support of the the European Crafts Alliance.

Originally launched in France in 2002 with the support of the French government, the Artistic Crafts Days were created to celebrate and promote craftsmanship. Due to its success, the initiative expanded to a European level in 2012, becoming the European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD). Today, it is the world’s largest international event dedicated to craftsmanship, bringing together 24 participating countries in 2023.

Each spring, craft studios open their doors to the public, while museums, training schools, and cultural institutions host special events, demonstrations, and workshops—offering everyone the opportunity to engage with and appreciate the art of craftsmanship.
