Institutional and Capacity Development Center has completed an active work process with the Georgian Heritage Craft Association within the framework of the project: “Building the Organizational Capacity of Target Business Associations, Chambers of Commerce, Clusters and Business Support Organizations”. As a result of the working meetings, a strategic plan was developed, which was officially signed by CEO – Ana Shanshiashvili. The signing ceremony was attended by members of the association, including honorary members from the USA and Board representatives online. Georgian Heritage Craft Association was founded in 2015 and its main goal is to preserve and develop the traditions of Georgian folk handicrafts and decorative-applied arts. The association aims to promote the sustainable development of the sector and collaborate between artisans, organizations and supporters of traditional handicrafts working in this field. Based on the working meetings with GHCA, the capabilities of the organization were assessed and the most important strategic priorities were identified, which will further contribute to the development of the association. The project is supported and funded by The USAID Economic Security Program.
